Microdata on the About Page

Having read Mark Pilgrims fine and highly recommendable book HTML 5: Up and Running (available for free here) all of a sudden there was a great many things that I would like to try out and experiment with. One of them being microdata.

Since I first heard about microformats I’ve been fascinated by the whole idea of a sort of “hidden” web, right there in front of us, something that adds a little extra to our pages…if we have the right tools.

So, I’ve now sprayed some microformats over my about page. I was already using RDF but microdata just seems easier to understand and to read so now I’ve changed.

There are no visible changes on the page…but they are there, hidden to everybody but the initiated….sssssh don’t tell the rabble.
